Mr. Tomoyuki FUKUMOTO is Chief Representative of Bank of Japan Beijing Office. He graduated from Kyoto Universiry and joined Bank of Japan in 1989. In 1995-1997, he studied Mandarin and the Chinese economy at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of Internatioal Business and Economics. In 2000-2003, he was First Secretary to the Japanese Embassy in China to conduct wide range of China’s economy and financial reform. In 2008-2009, he deepend his research when he was Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. In 2010-2012, he was Associate Director General of Internatonal Department, Bank of Japan and Head of Bank of Japan Preparation Team for the IMF/World Bank Toyko Annual Meetings. He has been in the current position since October, 2012.
